Deviated Septum Correction

Septoplasty

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct a displacement of the nasal septum (the bone and cartilage that divides your nostrils), clearing the nasal airway.

Procedure Steps

  • Endoscopic examination to localize obstruction points
  • Straightening or reshaping the deviated bone and cartilage
  • Stabilizing the septum with thin, breathable silastic sheets

Recovery Time

This procedure does not cause visible bruising or facial swelling. The breathable splints allow normal breathing immediately. Social activities can be resumed in 3 to 5 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will septoplasty change my nose shape?

No. Septoplasty is purely functional inside the nose. If you want aesthetic changes as well, it should be combined with rhinoplasty (Septorhinoplasty).

When can I return to work?

Most patients can return to non-physical work within 3 to 5 days.
